A dancer, in her desire to do what is in her heart, what drives her, takes a chance. She steps out of the shadows. In her hands she holds the possibility of a dream come true. A simple taste, of the being that she is capable of. Sour and sweet in one savoring moment. Coming forth with the promise of what she may become. Leaving the past behind, and dreaming of the future, visions of the night to come.

Bakersfield is proud to play host to the enduring and ever evolving tradition of presenting; Tribal at the Nile- Primal Infusion Bellydance Festival.

With a new year and a new essence to the dance, the women of Tribal Moon Rising and Sister Moon Rising welcome everyone back to Bakersfield to indulge in Primal Infusion Tribal at the Nile 2010.

From shows past the stage welcomed dancers such as Ultra Gypsy, Clandestine, DevDasi, Black Sheep Bellydance, Urban Tribal and the Fox Glove Dancers. This year, we welcome the return of the beautiful Tempest. We are also honored to be joined once again by Edenia of the Oasis Studio, Marjhani, and several other dancers who performed at the original Exotica and Tribal at the Nile- Exotica.

While all ages of performers are welcome, please be aware, this is a 21 and over event for guests and audience members. The cocktail bar will be open throughout the show and our after party is open to any performer or audience member over 21. Free entry to the after party at the Nile Bar comes with the purchase of a show ticket ($10.00 ) or dancer registration. Dancer registration is free.

This year we are arranging for a second evening of entertainment for our guests and dancers. Friday February 19th ,will be Movie Night at the Nile. We will be presenting the cult classic Earth Girls are Easy. With entry to the show ($5.00 )you also are given pass to the after party after the movie and free popcorn. Who doesn’t enjoy a little bit of blue Jeff Goldblum and cheesy 80’s lines now and then ! This is also a strictly enforced 21 and over event, full bar will be available.

Classes will be held SATURDAY February 20th, 2010 during the morning and afternoon hours. Multiple classes will run at the same time, so please be careful when making your selections. Details available on the website.
